The NSW Government has launched an online survey campaign to review a component of the NSW Water Quality Objectives. The survey aims to understand how communities in coastal NSW value and use their waterways. The survey is available here and open from 18 December 2020 until 5pm on 26 February 2021.
The information gathered will be used to inform actions under the Marine Estate Management Strategy, the Coastal Management Programs, as well as strategic planning completed by Local Councils. They are encouraging all members of the community to fill in the survey for waterways they live near, holiday to or have visited.
As part of the campaign they are giving away 10 National Parks multi-parks passes to people who fill in the survey and answer all questions. Respondents can fill in the survey multiple times for multiple waterways and increase their chance to win.
