After 9 years of research and international impact, the CRC for Water Sensitive Cities (CRCWSC) has wrapped up, but it’s legacy will continue through Water Sensitive Cities Australia, part of the Monash Sustainability Development Institute.

The CRCWSC began in 2012 with a vision to build sustainable, resilient and liveable cities and towns. As a partnership between the Commonwealth Government, water sector practitioners and researchers, it unlocked new ways to manage urban water: harnessing new water sources, tools for measuring water performance, ways of identifying and quantifying the costs and benefits of a water sensitive approach, and new processes for managing the complex challenge of water in urban areas.

The tools and resources developed are freely available on Water Sensitive Cities Australia’s Knowledge Platform.
